The sealed lamp is weathering made easy

After years of research on filters and material durability, the cumbersome assembly and disassembly of the Xenon lamps have been replaced by one easy plug-in lamp, available both for the Ci35/Ci65 and Ci4000 Weather-Ometers.

A typical lamp assembly is made up of multiple components that are assembled by the operator before every use as well as every time a filter is replaced, introducing the risk of mishandling or damage to one or more of the fragile components. The new Sealed Lamp is sold as one component with no assembly or disassembly required.

The Sealed Lamp meets the same standards as their lamp assembly counterpart. As standards have moved from “hardware-based” to “performance-based,” the Spectral Power Distribution (SPD) has become the critical requirement. The Sealed Lamp has the same transmittance specifications throughout the lamp life as traditional assemblies.
